Zhaga is a global consortium of companies in the lighting industry with the main goal of establishing an interface specification that makes it possible to attach sensor and control modules to luminaires and to make them interchangeable without having to change the luminaire design or existing electrical system of the luminaries. Zhaga is continuously developing the specifications (books) for the interfaces between luminaires and modules.

Hess and its brand Vulkan are part of this consortium. Accordingly, the company offers this standardization in various luminaire models – for Hess as well as the Vulkan brand.
