Swedish delegation
visits Hess

A group of 12 swedish lighting designers, architects and landscape architects visited Villingen with the HessScandinavia team from 12th to 14th February 2014 to find out more about innovative and energy-efficient lighting solutions.

Project tour through Villingen-Schwenningen, Singen and Königsfeld

During a project tour that included the new Schwarzwald Baar Clinic in Villingen-Schwenningen and visits to Singen and Königsfeld, the experts from Sweden had the opportunity to learn about some prestigious LED-based lighting solutions.
At the new Schwarzwald Baar Clinic the guests were accompanied by landscape architect Jürgen Pfaff (on the right side of the picture above) from the planning office FaktorGrün in Rottweil, who was responsible for the planning of the outdoor installation and the lighting.
In the spa town of Königsfeld, which, as one of the partner-municipalities involved in the Black Forest LED Network completely replaced its outdoor lighting with LEDs as part of the 2010 competition "Communities in a new light" initiated by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, Mayor Fritz Link (in the middle of the picture below) welcomed the visitors and presented the new outdoor lighting system to them.

Energy-efficient Hess lights, manufactured at the company's headquarters in Villingen are in use at the different sites that they visited, including street locations, town centres, public spaces and the much frequented clinic site. During a visit to the Hess manufacturing facility, the guests from Sweden were able to take a closer look at the innovative LED lights and find out more about the technical developments that are taking place.
