State Garden Show 2012

Hess lights up Saxony's sixth
garden show held in Löbau.

Landscaping Aglow in LED Light

Between September 15 and 18, the State garden show held in Löbau was aglow when the sun went down. 151 Hess luminaires installed throughout the grounds, offered show visitors a concise overview of Hess' current product range, including the latest LED potential with emdelight®-glass. On hand to open the week devoted to Hess lighting, were the politicians Michael Kretschmer, CDU Secretary General of Saxony, and Dietmar Buchholz, Mayor of Löbau.
Haus Schminke Hosts Seminars for Architects and Lighting Designers
In the afternoon prior to the opening, Hess invited clients to a seminar at Haus Schminke in Löbau, where about 40 architects, landscape architects and lighting designers received a guided tour around the house from Director Katrin Schenk and took part in two seminar presentations. Stefan Reimann from hutterreimann Landschaftsarchitektur GmbH, the landscape architect firm in Berlin that won the bid, talked about the Löbau State garden show planning and development, beginning in 2009 and continuing through to the actual completion in 2012. Afterwards, Ruairi O’Brien, proprietor of Ruairi O’Brien. Architektur. Licht. Raumkunst in Dresden, spoke about the multifaceted potential of light, its use in the past and application of the latest LED technologies.
Landscape Design Rendered by Hess Lighting
In the evening, the guests saw a demonstration of how the theory discussed in the afternoon could be applied, experiencing the landscape design rendered in Hess lighting on the grounds of the State garden show. The event closed with a breathtaking fire performance and accompanying fireworks.
