Major interest in functio-
nal lighting solutions

Innovative new products for the design of urban space were the centre of attention on this year’s trade fair "Dag van de openbare ruimte", which took place from 9th to 10th October, 2013, on the Expo grounds in Houten, Netherlands.
Hess presented a choice of technically advanced and design-oriented outdoor luminaires for most diverse lighting requirements together with its Durch sales partner Industrielicht B.V.

Geared towards energy efficiency

Diverse offer of luminaires

On the basis of the displayed luminaires CITY ELEMENTS, YORK, NEW YORK and TENSSO the international professional audience, including lighting planners, lighting designers and urban planners could receive an impression of the premium processed Hess luminaires in timeless design.
Decision makers and planners are especially interested in the possibility of using long-life and energy efficient LED modules with the luminaires. Their high quality of light, good colour rendering and maintenance friendly construction exceeds the achievement potential of conventional lamps by far and allows for energy savings of up to 60 per cent. Hess offers, among others, seven luminaire families that come with the LED "RAP module" from Osram as standard. A broad luminaire portfolio is at the lighting planners command for most diverse lighting requirements.

Audience record for the 10th anniversary

Number of visitors increases by 14 per cent

Initiated 2003 in Houten, the trade fair meanwhile became among lighting experts and decision makers the most important meeting within the industry. Moreover, the trade fair registered an audience record in the course of its 10th anniversary: 5.126 visitors result in a plus of 14 per cent compared to 2012.
A positive development on which the organiser ExpoProof wants to build on the following year. The next "Dag van de openbare ruimte" takes place from 5th to 6th February 2014 on the Expo grounds in Brüssel, Belgium.
