A lighting company with a long tradition, Vulkan, serves its customers, mostly public and private utilities, from its offices in Hanover, Germany. Vulkan products are manufactured in Löbau. In addition, Hess owns a share of Lehner WerkMetall, a lighting manufacturer in Nittendorf Germany with whom it cooperates on custom project solutions for lighting designers and architects.

Plant Locations
In addition to its headquarters and parent work in Villingen-Schwenningen, Germany, Hess operates a manufacturing plant in Gewerbegebiet West Löbau Saxony, Germany, which began production in July 2000. Hess Lichttechnik GmbH is an independent subsidiary of Hess. Since 1997, Hess has been active in the USA through a subsidiary with production plant. In the beginning of 2004, the USA subsidiary moved into the newly acquired company premises in Gaffney/South Carolina.
